The Ice Age is approaching and all the animals start to migrate south. Sid the sloth is left behind sleeping when the other animals start their journey, when he wakes up he meets Manny the mammoth, and goes with him to the north. On their way they meet several other animals, both good and bad. They also ends up rescuing a human baby when a human village is attacked by tigers.
