He lives alone with his father in an anemone. At his first day of school Nemo goes too far out of the reef, and is caught by a diver and ends up in a fish-tank in Sidney. His father, Marlin, goes out to sea to find Nemo. This brings him on a journey where he amon others meet Dory, a fish with extremely short-time memory, a group of three sharks who tries not to eat other fish and several sea turtles. In the fish tank, Nemo also has made som friends, and they are planning how to get Nemo back into the sea.
